How this list is built

Restaurants have to file with the state before they can open. Every week I pull TABC pending license applications and the Comptroller's active sales tax permits, then check every filing against Google to confirm it is a real restaurant. Anything that turns out to be an established business re-permitting is removed, and so is anything that closed.
